Santex is a company that is particularly mindful of the environment and uses PEFC certified cellulose for its products. It works every day to make its urinary/fecal incontinence products more eco-sustainable.
The cellulose of absorbent aids is PEFC certified: “Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes”. As you can guess from the name, it is an association that promotes the conscious management of forests.
This certification defends the wood from which cellulose derives and attests if it comes from forests managed in an environmentally sustainable way. It is a fundamental process from an ecological, economic and social point of view.
Santex preserves the environment with PEFC certified cellulose
Certification depends on various parameters, of quality and quantity, and is essential for giving value to the paper industry. Through the PEFC certification, you can know the path of raw materials, from how they are born to how they evolve, up to get into our hands, in the form of absorbent aids, in this case.
Not all companies can obtain this certification. To use this cellulose, the company must certify its company management system, operating for the traceability of the material.
In addition to using PEFC certified cellulose, we are committed to the environment every day in different ways:
- we reduce the consumption of raw materials, natural and water resources;
- our packs are less and less bulky, to have the least possible impact on storage volumes and decrease the incidence on the transport and production of waste;
- we recover and reuse the thermal energy that we produce during the manufacturing processes thanks to a cogeneration system.
We think it is very important to be aware of the presence of a certification that guarantees the environmental support of a company.
